Super 100JH clone

Hi,

I wanted to buy this amp, but unfortunately it's not possible to buy it anywhere,
so I found this forum and now decided to build an clone of the amp,

where should I start?
my first idea was to study the 2 build guides in the wiki and study the rest of the wiki,

then also i'm not sure if I can get all the exact same parts that were used in the 100jh,
are they available somewhere? because I wanted to build an exact 1to1 copy

is this schematic 100% accurate and the same as the 100JH that was on the market?

The Marshall one you link to looks ok.

It is a '66 JTM45/100 with slightly altered tone stack:http://www.pleximods.com/hendrixmod.html

Also V1 has extra 10k dropping resistor and more filtering like the slightly later amps. A stock '66 has 16uF cap on the board, but the '67 has a dual 32 uF cap with the 10k between the limbs.

I am in the UK.
Marstran alloy chassis
Marstran transformers and choke
Brian H boards, NOS mustards and Pihers, both plexi panels, pots, knobs, NOS sockets, ie the whole shooting match for a NOS HW Hendrix amp, only lacking a head cab (going to get one of my 67 narrow vent cab cloned by Chris Huff). Time is tight, I have lots of Marshalls already so will only sell if really good offer, failing that I will build it when I get chance.

No worries! Shop around and see what you need and get it all together, sometimes chasing all the small parts its part of the fun.

I just need more free time!

i've read through the 2 instruction pdfs and I wonder how dangerous this is for a beginner like me,

i have experience soldering , but the testing part at the end with the high voltages seems risky to me

what do you think? maybe I should just buy an already built amp or is this safe for a beginner if you are careful enough?

Of course it's dangerous. But it's also great fun. You just have to be careful and follow the instructions. I also built my amp with no experience whatsoever.

im wondering, is there any chance of getting the transformers that marshall used in the jtm45100 reissue and super100jh?
i guess if marshall got drake to rebuild those, there could be a few more available?

You would probably need to provide a serial number to get those out of Marshall.

But, in all honesty, you could do much better than those anyway. MUCH better.

You'd be better off with Heyboer clones. Give Brian at Marstran a shout. Drake and Dagnall have been poop for years.
