SLO w/ Metro loop?
Maybe this is a silly question. I have an SLO, I always have fx in the loop. I often hear the SLO's loop isn't the best. Question: would it be possible/prudent to replace the stock loop with a Metro loop?

Re: SLO w/ Metro loop?
With an SLO you'd want to leave the effects loop circuitry in place as that loop circuit forms a large part of the SLO's tone.
You could add a Metro loop, but I can't think why you'd want to.

Re: SLO w/ Metro loop?
I was just wondering if it would improve the tone--when the loop was active. I have at least reverb--usually more--in the loop %100 of the time. So I really only ever hear my amp as it sounds with/thru the loop. And I often hear about how the SLO loop leaves something to be desired. I thought I could maybe get a more transparent, unaltered signal with the Metro upgrade. But, alas, I'm not an engineer. Sounds like it wouldn't do what I was thinking/hoping?
Oh, and thank you!

Re: SLO w/ Metro loop?
Why not upgrade the reverb unit?
That may actually make a big difference.
