Satriani board and guitars.
I was going to put this in the artist section but you can't post pictures there for some reason. I got a chance to see Satch over the weekend. 1042 seat acoustic theater. I was lucky enough to get front row Joe side. Met him and got to take a bit of a tour of his gear. Super nice fella. Loves to talk gear.
Few pics for ya.

He uses no rack effects. Just what you see on the floor and does everything himself. Gotta say I was pretty impressed.

Man,he is really startin to look like he needs to be on Tube Tramps latest advertisement . Think about it,how cool would it be if he could have a lit light bulb in his mouth while he was playin' .
Seriously though, I saw Joe on the 'Flying In A Blue Dream' tour (Stevie Salas opened), and it was amazing. He nailed the albums exact tones (I think I remember seeing some Jubilee's).Excellent show

Yeah, he nails the album tones because he only uses what you see there live. What are the 2 yellow pedals? I asked him about the Eventide Hamonizer and he said he doesnt use it anymore.Tone Slinger wrote:Man,he is really startin to look like he needs to be on Tube Tramps latest advertisement . Yep, they are reissue's from the '9' series (ala Ts-9, fl-9,etc). I think the model # is FL-9. Real good flanger, as is the delay from that line .

Oncore. they just came out and jammed for about 10-12 minutes. His command of modal type playing is amazing. Makes you want to practice for sure.

Re: Satriani board and guitars.
Isn't that Red guitar based off an Ibanez "Power"
The past several years Joe's Live leadwork has changed... W a a a y more bluesy and less technical. Still love's his whammy... (my observation since his G3 stuff. Last seen with Petrucci & Pablo. They all were using the red curly-Q cords, too !)

Re: Satriani board and guitars.
Not sure but he replaced the single coil in the model with a "Sustaniac". I really don't know how it works but that little toggle switch is not on the models they sell either. It was much heavier than I thought.(Yeah, I picked it up. ) It has a large bubinga strip down the back, but its a solid 3 piece with maple . Not a skunk strip. He said it was a heavier alder body than what he's used before. His other models were Basswood I think.
He's 57. Pretty good shape from what I observed. Very lean. Obviously looks after himself.
