Damn...gonna have to ask George if his supplier maybe makes a 240V version too. Can't use that square type... Fortunately I have some time to work around this.

Any other issues you encountered? Is that the board material that came with the kit?? I guess you added the bias pot on your own?

The bias adjustment kit came with my kit.
The board is also std. in the kit.
But it was a bit confusing because the turret lugs were placed different in some places than what's in the instructions. So i had to move some components because i had put it in the wrong place.

And also dont forget that the power cord won't fit here, so I filed out and put in an IEC socket.

And the wires on the choke are too big to fit with that 1/4" gromet.
Also .. to get the nut into the flat fuse holder was a noodle scratcher
But you know.. Brute force and ignorance does it.

Yeah, saw the power cord thing, but I think I'll go with a hardwired one and just find a nice one around here that does the trick.

I heard several people had problems with the choke wires through that gromet. What gives?

And the instructions kind of hint that the fuse holder nut is a head-scratcher, but what's the fun with no challenges?

You can use the 120v lamp with no problems. I live in Australia with it's 240v mains. All you have to do is hook the lamp up to common and the 120v tap on your P/T primary. Even though your mains goes to the 240v tap and common, the primary of the P/T acts like a voltage divider and you will find 120v at the 120v tap. Easy!!

Mmmmmm, Looks like maybe the Heyboer P/T doesn't have a 120v primary tap?? Can't quite see properly from the pics. I used MM and Marstran on my JTM's and they both had the tap so , no problem. It's a bummer if there isn't one on the Heyboer because the amber lamp looks really good!!

Perhaps, if you're game, you could still rig up a voltage divider with a couple of resistors to give you the 120v?
