Here is my new Musikraft Franky I put together a couple of weeks ago. The reason I wanted this guitar is that I wanted a Northern ash body and a maple cap neck with the EVH dimensions. My other Fenderish guitars are Swamp Ash or Alder. Pretty much the default Musikraft specs for their version of the Franky. Musikraft is so good!!!
Vintage 1970’s Dimarzio Super Distortion that I painted gloss black (the matte creme color wouldn’t have looked nice). The single coil is a Fender Mexican with a red phenolic cover on it. Vintage Fender Trem with bone nut (not a fan of Floyd Roses) and Schaller Tuners. Most aged hardware bought through EBay. Not into the stripes thing, went with this neutral color scheme.
It sounds really good! Nice bite and string clarity. Definitely different sounding than my Swamp Ash and Alder strats. I will post a clip sometime soon. Enjoy!!!

Thanks rgorke! Musikraft neck too. I thought it would be wise to order the body and the neck at the same time. When I attached the neck to the body, there were no issues at all. No shims needed

The 6100 frets are a little weird at first but I'm growing to like them.

Very cool. What was the turnaround time? Been thinking about ordering a neck from Musikraft a while now.

I think Musikraft is the best parts maker going. If you order a body & neck at the same time, let them know and you will get a body/neck fit that is second only to a neck through.

Thanks good to know. Was originally thinking of mixing a warmoth body and a musikraft neck, but I'll certainly keep this in mind.

It took me about a month to 2 months to get my body and neck. All I can say is that those guys are real professionals. Not one single complaint about my transaction. They are indeed the bomb

Yep that's what I did. I simply attached the neck to the body with little to no adjustments. No shims needed!! They had the same number written in pencil on the body and neck xxxxx-a and xxxxx-b or something like that. So they were already mated at the shop

Love the guitars!
Sorry to hijack, but I need some help if possible and this seemed like a good thread to ask.
I've got a Locke Franky body and Musikraft Franky neck that were a tight fit for one another before painting. I sent the body to MJT and it came back with so much overspray in the pocket that the neck won't fit anymore. Is there a best technique to remove the excess filler/finish without removing any wood?
