Well, he could've kept them. Or he could've sold them on eBay. How many people would've dropped some big coin on an EVH-owned Peavey with a certificate of authenticity? Giving it to a school was the nice option.

Lots of custom one-ofs in that lot: three single coils, P-90s, etc. ... that school is sitting on a small treasure.
