Man, that's a tough question. I think they both sound excellent. But if I had to choose, it'd be like this; SCOM - greenbacks, and for the rhythm tones, the CL80's. The CL80's sound a little more gritty, while the greenbacks seemed to have a bit more of the mod's character, like the half-cocked wah sound and a little more honk. Great job on the playing and the recordings!

They all sounded excellent, but if I had to choose a least favorite of these, it would be the T75's. It's amazing how much speakers can affect the sound. They all sound like #36, but just in different flavors.dukeamps wrote: ↑Fri Oct 27, 2023 4:45 amhttps://www.soundclick.com/artist/defau ... ID=1032010

Another thing I was thinking about recently, and this can affect the brightness of your sound, and I'm not sure how many people think about this, and that's your guitar cable's length, and type, also. The longer the cable, the less highs you're going to have have, as it adds more capacitance to your sound. For me, I use a 12' cable when I play, and it sounds about right with my #34 mod. I recently made a 10' cable with some extra cable I had, and it's just a tad bit too bright. It's good, but maybe brighter than what I'm used to. I find this to be similar in how the hot-shield's length affects the overall brightness of the amp. Except the hot-shield does more, and is more dramatic with its length and the effects it has on the sound.
Thanks for posting these samples and letting us hear the differences between speaker types with this mod.
