ahhhhhhh, that's no fun!! Hockey is a great game. Fast, skillfull and guys beating the snot out of each other!! Surprised you don't follow it!! The Flyers usually field a pretty capable team (even if I still do hate them from the "Broadstreet Bullies" days...)

It's not often the Rangers kick their ass so I have to gloat while I can!

What can I say. I could neither afford hockey in HS, nor was i any good at it. I could be an excellent slapshot-twins kinda guy but skate and stick... no.

EXACTLY!!!! Just what I'm talking about.

My skills never made the highlight reels but man if I caught you in MY corner...

We couldn't afford it either but we somehow raised enough money to join the Islanders HS Hockey League. Our HS wouldn't even sanction us. Because we had one guy who was in the Islander junior program they put us in Division 1 with the kids who could skate and shoot. After our second game of getting embarrassed one guy said that's it I'm gonna go kick some ass. We beat the livin shit out of them. Both benches emptied and they made us forefit the game. Next week we were in Divsion 3. Now THAT'S HOCKEY!! :D :D :D

Must be a leper game, there's a face off in the corner....

that's so wrong.

I'm a big Red Wings fan. But I like the old style of play alot of the Canadian teams use.

Have you watched much hockey with the new rule changes this year, George? They really have opened up the ice for skating / skill players. Moved the blue line closer to center ice for more manuver room in the offensive zone, moved the goal lines back a bit to restrict goalie movement, reduced goalie equipment size and get this, no 2 line pass. You can hang at the other blue line and wait for that long break out pass (just like the Canadien style!!). The refs aren't putting up with bully shit either. That slug Brashear was running at everybody last night trying to instigate but all he got was a bunch of penalties and Ranger power play goals.

The only way stupid thing they did was this damn shoot out after 5 minutes of OT. That just AIN'T right in hockey. Soccer? Whatever but, NOT hockey. Hockey you play until your're the last man bleeding!! I remember coming home from Detroit one morning when the Islanders were in the playoffs. It was an early am flight and no one knew who won becuse it went like 3 OT's. That's manly hockey!!

Yeah the penalty shoot outs are for plebs. Rotten hockey.

Hockey is a team sport and shootouts only tell you who has the best goalie and shooters. A pox on the shootouts.

I think they are calling some really dumb penaties though.
I reckon we need automatic icing as in IIHF rules.
Guys can end their careers chasing for a stupid icing call.

And yes, yes before anyone else says it, Toronto really do suck this year more than other years.

I think they're gonna cut out a lot of guys...

Belak - for sure
Lindross - maybe
Berg - likely

The days of the big guys is coming to an end.

Stajan, Wellwood and Steen will develop into upper class players.

I love Domi, but I don't think he's getting enough ice time to make him an effective player.

And is it me, or did the Canadian olympic team play just like the Leafs play?
When i was your age, we didn't have TV or Internet; we just did a bunch of crazy shit.
