A late introduction...

Post by bvmjethead » Sun Mar 05, 2006 10:39 pm

Sorry gentlemen I quite often do not introduce myself when joining a new forum.

It's easy when looking at a computer screen to forget that there are other people just like me out there who have no idea who I am.

My name is Scott, 41 years old, I live in Tidewater Virginia. I own/operate my own landscaping business. Have dabbled in playing guitar for 30 years now and still can't play worth a crap, but I love to dabble in music. It's a great passion of mine.

The winter months are a slow time for me. Last winter I built several stompboxes and was very pleased with the results.

I can't remember how I found this place, a link from another forum I'm sure, but I thought this year I would try my hand at building something more challenging.

Seriously considering reading up and maybe even taking some electronics courses, I'm really enjoying building this JTM 45, but I have absolutely no technical knowledge whatsoever.

This kit is easy to do because the JTM 45 kit as you well know is almost a "paint by numbers" kit. If you can read and solder you can build it.

Trouble is I'm a need to know kind of guy and I learn by understanding how as well as why it works not just that if you put "a" together with "b" and "c" it works.

I'm having fun learning as I build and seriously thank all of you for putting up with my stupid questions that undoubtably have been asked here a million times before.

I look forward to learning alot more and building a few more amps.

Thanks for having me.
