Local Amp Builders Clubs

We can rent a studio or, meet at someone's house.
Or get inverters and meet in a parking lot like a car club.

I'm game for a SW Florida chapter.
if we got big enough we could rent a hall.
Even have an amp build off. Prizes

The build off would be cool becuase you could check out each others building techniques. If you saw the way I build, you'd nickname me
"masking tape man" or "drill over a box guy"

Guess I ned that jig

P.S. We do have one dingbat int he group who decided to bring his TAYLOR(!) on a run from Orange County to Lake Isabella. Wanted to "sing around the campfire". He had it strapped to his back with the neck sticking up above his head. Well, you probably know what the wind is like throught the grapevine. When we stopped for gas he says "Dang thing feels like I have a garage door strapped to my back"!!!

Reminds me of a story my friend told. When he was 18 and first got a bike he had to ride it to his buddies shore place for a party. It was raining but it was also a nice spring day. So he jumps on in a tshir and shorts and rides on the highway for 2 hours.

When I was living back East I had a job which had me commuting from Long Island to Norwalk, CT, About 65 miles one way, door to door on I95 across the Throgs Neck bridge. I was not a happy camper by the end of week. Anyway, one really, particularly MISERABLE morning it was COLD, raining, sleeting, wind gusting, snow as I crossed the bridge. I was absolutely freezing inside my car when I heard this buzzing sound. I looked to my right and here was some poor bastard on a 250cc(?) dual sport rolled up like the freezing mess he was trying to get to work. I'll be he still hasn't defrosted 20 years later!

I think the mentality is like golfing, or owning a roadster......when it's time to do it, you don't let these little obstacles get in your way.......... but I haven't golfed in years and I'm still waiting to own a roadster.
