Physical Graffiti is #1 for me.....so many styles, so many sounds to absorb....... 8)
I couldn't decide on positions 2 & 3, so I'll takew one of the boxed sets to cover those slots without being prejudiced towards any particular album.

This open to production albums or boots as well? If its production only then the first three. Boots have to include 10-30-1969 Buffalo NY, 8-29-1973 MSG(final night), 09-04-1970 Toronto.

hmmmm, 'magine that how we all seem agree maybe not in the same order. But, it looks like we all agree on Graffiti. I hate Page... :shock:

Just the opening riff to Custard Pie for crissakes. If that was the ONLY riff I wrote I would die happy!

Just depends on mood...each album has a different vibe.

Phew, that's a tough one! I hear a lot of folks - not on this forum, tho - that say stuff like "Zep's first three were great" or "Just the first five" but I have this feeling that those people mostly repeat someone else and haven't got a clue they're leaving 'Houses Of The Holy' and 'Physical Graffiti' out. Blasphemy.

Ahem.

My top three (with my fav tracks):
- Physical Graffiti (Custard Pie & The Wanton Song);
- III (Immigrant Song & Celebration Day);
- IV (Black Dog & When The Levee Breaks).
