Hey Jerry, wish you would have said HI!

I really can't stand GC to be honest. The noise was unbearable. But I got some quality help in the drum department.

I know, I know......drums. I need a small set to get stuff into the computer where I can sound replace and fix the timing. I got a flyer from Musician's Friend the other day. There's a little Gretsch set for $400 in there so I went to see if GC had one to check the quality.
Turns out they had just the floor model, but it did have Evans heads on everything. They matched the price and through the Evans in for free. So I brought it home.

I still need a snare stand, cybal stands, cymbals, kick pedal ect. So I'll pick some more items up here and there. I'm not in a hurry, and I don't have much cash to throw at a drum set.

Guitar wise- there were a few nice looking axes out of 100 pieces of absolute crap. A few decent amps, and a ton of shit. I love how the Fender Bassman replica is $1650 and th relic'ed one is $1850. I should beat up my builds and charge more for them.....

Oh well, I thought I could sneak in to GC and keep my rep in tact. But I got caught red handed. At least I wasn't picking up a Valvestate or something.

You'd think they would spend the extra $200 on good trannies and make it a real RI? Even the review on Tone Quest trashed that amp.

Hey, George. I can't make any promises but check with my buddies at GMS Drums. Maybe they can do something for you for on drum equipment. Ask for Rob (you met him at MAMM). GMSdrum@aol.com

hey george relicin amps and guitars is great fun get a lespaul standard etc bang the guitar off the ground, oxidise the bridge in some sort of liquid which strips paint, smoke afew joints and burn it out into the wood
Pouring paintstriper or alcohol on the body and set fire to it 8) Don't let it burn through, kick the body afew times get golf shoes or something and stand on parts of it throw a chisel or 2 at it, sand part of the finish off of it.

For amps and cabs that is more fun still take speakers and amp chasis out of course. now you can beat the crap out of them more doobies her stub them on the cab. feel free to let ur animals piss on the speaker cabs heck you might as well do it to   drag the cabs along the ground, throw head cabs down the stairs etc good fun.

How do you think tom murphy did the gibson historics

hey george you can make a fortune out of doing that for the authentic 60's look 8)

Just be grateful weren't subjected to a kid learning how to play plugging into one of those Crate 130s...worst amp ever...like "Hey junior, is there any tone underneath all that gain?"

I thought about it, but I would feel kinda silly contacting him with only a couple hundred bucks to spend. I know those are high quality drums and I didn't want to insult him.

At least the G was´nt caught living out his secret inner self by playing "Enter Sandman" through a Rectumfrier with all the mids cut out...
So his rep is intact.

Yea, ha ha! I've thought about taking me head case and attaching a chain to it with the other end of the chain attached to my truck. Then I would drive down a dirt road. Now that is wear and tear! Oh yea, and then I could lock it in a room with Ronnie Wood to get that awesome tobacco stain.
