Hey guys,
I've been trying to get myself more in the know on tube amps in general.....
Found a great series of .PDF downloads for an out of print book by Jack Darr
simply entitled 'Electric Guitar Amplifier Handbook'
http://www.pacificrecone.com/JackDarrBook.html
I have heard mention of The Ultimate Tone book series by Kevin O'Conner several times and plan on eventually ordering some or all them (gotta get done with Jack's book first)....
George, Billy, all, are there other good educational sites like this on the web??? Other good books besides TUTs???
Is the Jack Darr book a good one to study????
Thanks in advance and as always look forward to your responses......

I didnt really learn that much from books. Just from the TUT series. I had 1 forever. Then 3 in the last year which is good but I think it was a waste. I shouldve bought 3 first. 1 gloses over many of the details in 3 and spend half the book on reverbs and fx loops and relays. Not that exciting for vintage amp people

Thanks Billy, will make sure to go for TUT3 first then......
On the subject of internet edu., I was bummed to find out a particular webpage I liked entitled 'marshall circuits 101' is down or gone..
Had some very cool things on that page, like a block diagram of various parts of the signal chain that when clicked took you to labelled pics of the componets from a chassis shot.....
The website was http://marshall.redpt.com/
Anybody know who ran that page?????
