Hey that was CAS :) One take and it sounded great all the way through.

Check out the one called 'chick kicks ass at guitar' on the left scroll window. Lots of the same arppegio over and over again but she kicks ass and looks like she might be hot too.

Pretty technically proficient, but mechanical. I see this with a lot of kids know the notes but don't play the songs with soul. That chick was decent, but still the same thing. Millions of notes that say nothing.

Saw a couple of those guys at Guitar Center this week.......lotsa Van Halen tapping, but as much soul as a limp noodle. I suppose they still get laid more than me too.

Laid and limp should not be in the same paragraph unless you are having E.D.

These guys aint as bad as some of the shredders we've seen on that site. They dont sound nearly as mechanical as other clips linked here. Some of these guys sound like they learned in a totaly mathmatical, mechanical way and just didnt even bother to think that their playing music. I thought it sounded pretty good really.

Yeah I went looking at all the different guitar clips last night and there is one guy on there who is playing Canon in D and completely puts his own spin on the song. He adds little riffs here and there which makes it fun to listen to. I will try to find the video and edit this post to add it.

EDIT: Ok here is the link http://youtube.com/watch?v=WJlEFbKci-o& ... ar%20canon
Apparently this is the kid who arranged the music for the guitar.

Heh...here is the backing track and guitar pro tab that everyone in those vids use:

Click the Lessons link.

Here's standard tab for it:

Happy Shredding! :P

beats the shit out of me when I was a kid putting on my moms canon in D record and playing to it! At least I had to learn the rhythm part in guitar myself. Nothing like the backing tracks today... I thought the kid was pretty good for being the age he is. Now add a little dynamic feeling in there and...
