I've got a Darkburst bridge and Crossroads neck in my SG Standard. They are definitely very clear and powerful and clean up very well with the volume knob.

Jim's a nice guy, too.

How do they compare to the SD Antiquities?

Mike

I sold the Antiquities I had because the Goodwoods & Crossroads had that tone covered better for my Les Pauls.

If the bridge pup was four conductor and they had gold covers I'd jump on them.

I've had a chance to play the Fillmores and was blown away by them especially when they were tapped. Incredible humbucker tone, by that I mean they didnt overwhelm the amp and you could still hear the string. The only other pickup that I have heard that I like close to it is the Burstbuckers. I just put a set in my buddies Custom and they are very articulate and dynamic (albeit microphonic through a high gain amp)

hmm... noticed that with my Cousin's Shredder in a 1960 Classic Gold Top playin' through his 72 RI & FullStack.
Couldn't dime the amp... Fixed it by dipping it in wax that was from a beauty salon... Damn thing worked great !...
Soundz vicious !

Yeah, I was thinkinmg of the "Shredders" for my 71' Les Paul which is my main player. I currently have a SUper D DImarzio old time P/up and a PAF PRo in the neck. Good winds but out of time ! Ready for some Darkbursts. I really like the tone The guy from Starship got with his home built plexi and his strat ( The EVH solo) SOundclip from the Darkburst thread. Great sounding pups. GOnna go that route this week along with a complete refret by Styevie Rays ole tech! Great guy and tech as well!
