My wife is so freaking cool. She found an 8 channel powered mixer someone was throwing away today and brought it home for me. Not sure if it works or not(does power up, lights come on), but I think it was a super cool gesture by her.

It couldn't have come at a better time either. I am currently in two projects. One of which I just play guitar and the vicalist is looking at getting some sort of rehearsal PA, the other one I play guitar and have been chosen to do vocals until we find a decent frontman.

Great news. I took the mixer down to a shop to have looked over and everything works great on it. Nothing is wrong except that it is dirty. I bought a can of electronics cleaner and plan on taking the mixer apart this week to clean it all up.

The guy at the store said he would sell me a couple of wedge monitors for about $150 or so. They are used but what the heck, I now have a rehearsal PA.

It's good to hear good endings now and then. Had a buddy he was a garbage man back east. Came over my house one day after work, "Hey Chief, look what I found on the curb this morning. Can you use it?" One silver face 2-15 Fender bottom in great shape. Still have it.

I told him to go back and find the matching Bassman head!!
