Who's giggin this weekend?
I have 2 shows, I'm feeling a bit under the weather and just wish I could stay home. I hate to say that cuz I know a lot of people who wish they were in a band and could play once a month!!! Just curious!!!

Hell thats their problem! By the time I stoped playing, getting ready to go to a gig felt worse then getting ready for work in the morning and getting set to go to the dentist all in one. Thats no way to feel about music. Thank god I quit what I was doing. When I play again I may feel good about it by then!

I know what you mean. I love to play out I wish I could do it more than just on the weekends. I have the opportunity to go on the road, but my wife still likes me enough to have me home (even after 11 years of marriage) Go figure!!! It just suck cuz I do 75% of the singing and when I'm sick the rest of the band sound like crap. Not that they suck but you know how it is, when the singer sounds like shit, the rest of the band gets a bad rap!!!Billy Batz wrote:Hell thats their problem! We've got a double gig in Idyllwild tomorrow. We leave the house at 8am and won't get home until 4am the next morning.
That's okay by me. There was one thing and one thing only I was born to do and that's be on stage. I've been doing it since I was sixteen and I can't imagine doing anything else. Hell, I'm not really qualified to do anything else

Would've been at jam night last night, but my mate (and fellow musician) Gurb's gone on a music course so I decided to give it a miss. This thursday though, I'll be gigging for the first time with my Plexi

As a matter of fact it took me about 25minutes and I broke a sweat trying to get my guitar outta the case and plug in my amp today.Only to figure out after 5minutes that I was stoned on pain pills and couldn't play.Guitar-Sam wrote:Well I gigged the last about 6-7 weekends in a row 3 gigs last week.

The only gig I have is to take a run up to Austin and pick up the lyrics to one of our demos that I am having pressed to vinyl (12" 45rpm baby). There might be a fistfight involved, depending on if Mr. Vocalist finished his end out like he promised. Need to get them sent off to our artist who I hired to do the artwork on it.
I might also be getting together with this other guy I am starting my second project with to write a bit more. We have two songs finished with all the basic guitar tracks and both have ideas for at least two maybe three more.
I cannot wait to gig again. Hopefully by the end of the year/ biginning of next year.
The part I ahe about gigging is the unloading back into the rehearsal area after the gig. By 4-5 am you are shot and only want to go home and finish partying and pass out or just plain pass out.

Thank God we graduated out of Thursdays that first gig, weekends were at least easier to deal with the late nights.
