I had the pickguard made up by:

http://pickguards.us/

They did a great job, I think it was around $35.00. It looks like polished alunimum -- hard to see in the photo.

Hey That looks Great . Kinda like the Blackmore Signature Series.
For me, I like the way you have it but also wire it go to Hum/Sing in Series for a type of VH Red "Frankenstrat" tone for veresitility. 8)

Yeah Dave, That is a Nice Piece for a MIM.
Priced right. Even the Type O that says bidding starts out at $225.00
but is selling for $199.00 Still $219.00 with shipping.
As for the scalloping, I'd leave it alone but I'm not denying that
from the 17th fret and up with a very mild scallop would be good to bite into those higher frets.
Only if you are a higher register player as myself and have done to two of my guitars and glad I did.
Good for a project guitar. Would never touch an U.S.A. Stratocaster or LP...

Hey Dave weren't you looking for one of these?
I had one but this is the better of the two Models...

I e-mailed the seller of the Trower Custom Shop Strat, said I'd offer him over $2K,he replied retail was $3200!
So I'm sure he didn't pay retail and what should it be used based on that, anybody know?
Sorry Jerry,I know this is your thread.

The reserve has allready been met for the Trower Strat.
I had planned on buying the Malmsteen 'Duck",when it comes out, when being the operative word, but it will be too much cash.
I would rather order my dream Strat from Fender's Custom Shop, the Trower 4-bolt,bullet truss rod neck,9.5" radius, jumbo frets, correct 'aged' pickguard, triple ply,YJM's and bridge HS-3,minus DiMarzio covers, with 'aged' covers,YJM Strat wiring,Vintage White, but not so yellowed,I thought of '69 Custom's,but like the quieter stacked pickups.
Damn,I got a $4-5K Martin that I can't give away,it's a beaut,oh well.
Bills to pay, life to live, just loved that Limited Trower Strat, never heard of it until now!
