As previously stated by youz guyz "hype" is a business mans move to a competeable product.
I do like a couple of his products although there will be someone who will design a more superior product.
I don't think there is a better sounding Univibe (Deja) out there like Fultone's version, but, on a whole, "Business is Business".

Whatwould be great, is for the smaller companies to achieve what Mike Fuller has done, so there is more variety for a 'new' musician's aresenal.

When you hear these newcomers on the radio you should have a vibe of "Man, whatta' great tone" not how generically plastic they sound.
(Does not Tone inspire someone to play?)

But, then again, if someone wants to sound like plastic there's always the mass produced stuff...
Fullers "stuff" is now at Guitar Centers.... How long will the "quality" last...?

Scotty Smith of ProAnalog, makes the mother of all fuzz face clones. It is called the Scary Face. I have one and it is truly what a excellent example of a pnp germanium fuzz face should be and then some. He gain matches Q1 and Q2, NOS Mullards. And it still has a neg ground so it jives with your pedalboard. It has loads of gain, so you can back off the fuzz pot and us it as a boost. It really blows the '69 away.

I just got a '69 a little while ago. Les paul, '69, wah pedal + Marshall is my favorite new lead tone. Like anything try before buying. I was lucky that a local non GC store has a great pedal selection and I was able to spend a good deal of time trying many different pedals. The '69 was aggresive but more musical and flexible (Bias ctl helped) to me than the '70.

I would hope that the quality would stay....in my opinion the best made pedal on the market....a close, close second in building would be Robert Keeley -- his stuff is also top notch. Just my opinion as a builder myself. :)

Yeah I always give him that much. Im not crazy about all of them tone-wise and think theres a lot of hype but they defiitely deserve it more then the other pedals found in GC. But they are robust pedals. The build is pretty spartan. I never had a problem with one. Gigging a more full time schedule Ive literaly had problems with every single Boss Ive ever used. Even the TU-2 Tuna. lol. Yet every HC review goes seomthing like this 'its a boss so you know its built like a tank'. Granted Im a bit hard on pedals but I shouldnt have to re-buy pedals every other year because Im using them the way their meant to be used.
