Boss DS-1

Post by antosimoni » Wed Nov 15, 2006 4:41 am

I was thinkin' about buyin' one, the new ones sound the same as the vintage ones?? that chip mods one can find on the net are only to change the pedal effect and not to restore vintage specs, right??
thanks for any info

EDIT : sorry I've put a wrong title to this topic, I mean the SD-!, the yellow one, the overdrive (not the orange distortion one), sorry folks

I have an Analogman modded DS1 (the orange one). I absolutely love it. For the money you will too. I play it with the "DIST" knob all the way down and it really gives me a nice sound. I have other distortion/overdrive/fuzz pedals too and they are all cool in their own way, but once again for the money this will be a pedal you can add to the chain and always have a nice flavor to play with.

for what it's worth, I love my sd-1 (maybe 10 years old, so new chip). Distortion on 0 or 1 and volume at 12 o'clock. I play with it on all of the time
