Rectifiers

Can someone tell me the difference between the "Bridge" type rectifier and the "diode" in a 50 watt plexi? Is one better then the other, etc. Also, how is the bridge wired into the board? Thanks,

block type is under spec. for voltages the diodes (x4) are just about ok for the job.

Thanks Neikeel---I guess I will stick to the diodes and move the bias supply to the hot side of the standby switch!
