Jeeze. I never thought I would hear any guitar based music that could make feel like I wanted to puke as much as the Back Street Boys or NSync, but this stuff comes pretty close.

When I play on weekends, I see 20 year olds who probably play rap in their
cars, but their girlfriends dance to Mustang Sally.

The guy's probably feeling jumped on.

You can't help but like that bassline in the 3rd song Nev posted. Dance Dance

I also like Sum 41, and 3 doors down type stuff.

They kinda remind me of Judas Priest Break'n the Law for some reason.

Not this song, but other ones.

Too bad the lead hasn't made more of a comeback.
That's what was mising from the first song, but I could still apreciate their talent. Great drummer.

There is no right and wrong when it comes to personal likes and dislikes.
If you dig it, enjoy it. 8)

MightyMike, AS far as leads go, I think you will be hard pressed to hear leads in popular rock music anymore. I am talking radio music. Leadwork never died out in metal though. Nevermore and Dragonforce as well as Children of Bodom are the modern day shredders who actually play tasteful leads in their songs.

Yeah I know, it went out of favor when Grunge came in. I'm just hoping for a comeback.

The reasons we all are here is obvious to me.
We seek truth in the bulshit, We want the best and to be at our best.
Each generation has their gimmicks and each gen slams the others because they want more. More what?

Musicianship.

What all of us strive for when we play in front of others.
I challenge myself constantly to be the better musician and not just buy blowin' riff's but
taking my hammer, nails, & wood and making it into something melodically decent.
Some will build a dog house, some will build a castle.
It's up to you what you would like to build your foundation on.

This topic was posted by a Dad and his indulgences with his kid.
I think its cool that if my Dad were to let me see a concert like this I would talk about it at school and
for years to come because of the impact it had on me when I was a young music lover.
From KISS to SlipKnot to Lordi each Gen takes something with them. Eventually we move on...
We continue to feed our Music appetite and acquire different tastes.

I see music morphing all the time and can't wait for that next young kid to take something we stare at everyday
and arrange those 12 measly fuckin' notes into the next flavor of the day.

I don't listen to Lordi but I see what there about. Not sure of their message just like I'm not sure of Rap.
A two sided coin at times like Christian Bands portraying Dark music with the Good Word. (You can't be in the dark
and be in the light at the same time).

I evolved as all eventually do and for me the "Prog" genre' is to my taste. These guys are players.
These Bands are coming out of the corners of the world and have something to say.
As for the Sates here, Kids are forever changing in their environment dealing with other kids
from different cultural backgrounds taking bits and pieces of what they like and delivering it from their point of view.
It's kinda mixed up because their moods change with the wind and have yet to find solid ground
to start building their Music Temples. I think they have to get through the "sensationalism" (media) first.

In fun I love rippin' on bands as much as I like rippin a new asshole on sports teams. It's in my competitive nature to give shit.
Either you hang or drop out. a Natural way of weeding out the crap and letting the Quality emerge.
Lead, follow or get the hell outta the way !

I look forward to todays music interpetations because I do like being entertained.
But, be forwarned............I have a crate full of tomates

RIP Ben Wise -StuntDouble- comrade-in-arms
