I play all my guitars in rotation, my favorites are my '57 Reissue Strat, my Washburn SS80, my Goldtop, YJM.

Yngve, I haven't played a rosewood board YJM ever, in fact the only YJM I have ever played is mine which I had to special order, they are as rare as hens teeth, even in the States.
All RW boards have a darker more mid ranged sound, whereas maple is bright sounding, with more emphasis on the treble range.
I love RW boards on certain years, my first guitar was a 1965 Transition logoed Strat with a beautiful RW board. But ever since then, maple has been my preference.
As I suggested a YJm could be ordered from Fender through Guitar Center in the States, even with US tax , would be cheaper. What is the import duty in Australia and how are they on a guitar imported by an individual as opposed to through a dealer there?

I like the blue one
which one is your Fav!
They are twins. As far as I'm concerned they sound the same or as close as two guitars can sound to each other.
A few years ago I owned a Candy Red/Maple Neck Yngwie. Pretty much the same.
No fav. They really are interchangable....but like I said.....maybe it's just me, but the white does the Jimi stuff cool and the blue the Blackmore type. Maybe it's the way I got them set up, but I woundn't switch the setups.
The both record real good thru whatever distortion units I use. Great guitars.

One more thing. Check this guy out. Excellent player. he uses a blue Yngwie and talks about it in one of his vids.

Very great indeed and very humble person... I Love it!
Just to show that the Malmsteen Strat is versatile and it up to you to do the rest.
Thanks for the link, very nice guy.
Also like his choices of youtube artists, very interesting. What would the world be like without musik?
God Bless us all who live for musik
