I can easily drown out Harleys
I one time got a Thunderheader from Simms and wondered why it was so loud? No baffle, man it sounded good but this has really got to be the most aggravating exhaust to any unfortunate drivers with there window left down,or bikes on my right hand side.127 S&S BY H&L.fillmore nyc wrote:I never really understood that, how a straight six "out-noises" a V-8. Must be either some massive piston size, or maybe firing order?? Maybe just the layout of 6 jugs in a line compared to 2 banks of 4 cylinders??Flames1950 wrote: With no mufflers it's positively insane, the amount of noise that a little six can shovel out compared to a big V8!!!
Really, the same thing is true of a big twin vs an inline four on a bike. That big twin can make some NOISE, man!!

If there was a nice piece of tail on the back he'd never notice the noise, and he'd be behind you for miles.fillmore nyc wrote:But, I swear...NY Chief wrote:fillmore nyc wrote: (I swear... thats the only reason I pass you guys... so you dont fracture my headlight lens with those big twin pulses!!)
