Re: 1959 2013 LP Build
I decided to not wax pot the pickups (yet). I wanted to see what they sound like without first. The bobbins on these are both cream coloured and there is a wood spacer.

Installed pots and jack. Looks much brighter with a flash. Natural light has a more mellow vibe than what you see here.

To get the pickup rings to bend a little, I heated them up in some hot water.

Re: 1959 2013 LP Build
Pretty much finished. Needs a bit of work to the frets and the nut. Just put on an old set of strings to get the bridge on. Sound pretty good right now. Even not plugged in its loud with a lot of sustain. Neck is very straight.
In case your wondering how those old screw poles go in, you do this first. Tighten all three bolts together. You then can use a rachet type screw driver on the top nut down into your pre drilled hole.
Trouble getting the bridge to line up for some reason....what I didnt know was that on old LP's the stop piece is slightly angled as well.....yeah...its angled...I looked at the plans...its angled...
Anyways... i have a bit of adjusting to do with the bridge but it will come out ok. Another lesson learned.

Thanks fella's. Really though its just about taking the time and not rushing things. I made a few mistakes here and there on this one but those are not to be repeated.
I''l try to get a decent clip up soon.

Can't wait to hear it!
Could ya do some clean 12 Series clips too? Or semi-clean anyway.
Really interested in those StewMacs.
