Growing up there, we used to play hide and go seek with a couple dirt bikes and horses in the groves. Now that area is getting built up, but you can still ride up to the top of the mountain, and get a little extra light at the end of the day, and on a clear day, even see Catalina island.
In the winter time you gett a little snow on top of that mountain, which is fun to ride in too. I think the mountain is called Saddleback Mountain or skyline ridge or something.
We used to get crazy with street bikes through Ortega highway.
That's the run between Lake Elsinore San Juan Capistrano.
My friend caught some sand going around a curve, and munched it.
Another riding buddy of mine named Tim Sherman (Dude had my back in a outnumered brawl where the other guys had baseball bats) died in lake Elsinore on his bike running from the cops on his 650 Cheapo $500 Kawasaki that he had tweaked. Last I heard his head was swollen like a Pumpkin before he died (no helmet). He had a baby too. He was in his early 20's.
That guy was such a good rider, he could switch bikes and still beat us all.
He was one of those natural German mechanical inclined type. he made those 650s scream when he got through with them.
Since then I've stuck with dirt bikes> I know you can die on one of them too, but at least it will be my fault if that happens. (and not some old lady backing out of her driveway)
Not to be rude, but if was going to get a Harley, it would be a Softail, Full Dresser, or a Hog, not a Sportster. My friends would make fun of me if I
showed up on a Sportster.

No offense intended.
